Register for the St. Jude Math-A-Thon and your school could win a Target Gift card
Join thousands of schools around the country taking part in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Math-A-Thon® program.
For 30 years, Math-A-Thon has successfully helped students improve their math skills and helped raise millions of dollars in the fight against childhood cancer.
Register by November 13, 2009, and your school will be eligible to win a free $50 Target gift card. If you complete your Math-A-Thon by March 31, 2010, your school will be entered into a drawing for a second $300 gift card. It’s an added incentive to a program that has helped thousands of students hone their math skills and many more win their battle against childhood cancer.
St. Jude designed Math-A-Thon to supplement a teacher’s existing curriculum, while also teaching students the importance of helping others. The program includes a fun, free math curriculum supplement updated by Scholastic, Inc., the most trusted name in learning, and featuring comic book characters for grades K–8.
More than 10,000 schools across the country take part in Math-A-Thon. To participate, students ask family and friends for pledges to solve math problems in the Math-A-Thon Funbook. The funds raised by the students benefit St. Jude, where doctors and scientists work to eradicate childhood cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
Becoming a coordinator is easy and is absolutely free. St. Jude will send everything you need to get started. Call 1-800-FUNBOOK or visit www.mathathon.org now to sign up and be included in this special promotion.
